2017 Beauty Favorites

As 2017 comes to an end I thought I would list my beauty favorites!

(All the products are listed again at the bottom of the page)

Skincare:

Living in New York my skin has to deal with insane congestion as well as wild weather. Two products which have saved my life have been; Amore Pacific Moisture Hydro-Gel and the Perricone Blue Plasma Cleansing Treatment. They are both lightweight, yet they do their job well.

Foundation:

I have always struggled with finding the perfect foundation. I always have wanted something that lasts all day on my face. This year I have found the perfect foundation... YSL All Hours foundation. This foundation doesn't look cakey (looks airbrushed) and it lasts on my face all day. I thought I would also give a shout out to the Hourglass stick foundation. It is really creamy and looks wonderful on the skin. I highly recommend it.

Concealer:

I have awful dark circles under my eyes. Unfortunately its genetic for me so no matter how much sleep I get they will always be there. Not a lot of people understand my struggle, so I always get recommended concealers which don't work.  Until I randomly walked into Sephora at the World Trade Center and met someone who understood my struggle! She recommended to me the it Cosmetics illuminating concealer, and the shade we chose was my skin tone and not something lighter. When I would get a lighter concealer for my eyes it would make the dark circles show even more. This product has changed my life and I recommend it to anyway who has extreme dark circles.

Blush:

I was reading about how people used to do their makeup and came across a tip, which recommends using a bright pink color for your cheeks because it makes you look flushed like you just got out of the shower. And let me tell you this trick works! I have been loving my Tarte 10 blush wheel. It's great because all the blushes are together and it is pretty compact. Recommend the product because you can try out a wide variety of blushes for a nice price.

Highlight:

I love highlight! I cant live without highlight! I think it really makes a look. My favorite highlight product is a mini set from Becca because you get a powder highlight and a liquid highlight. I think everyone knows that Becca makes the best highlight, it is so nicely milled that it looks so smooth on your skin. Highly recommend this set for anyone trying to get into highlighting... you can't really fail with this kit.

Eyes:

Love the Tarte travel pallet, its cheaper than a huge pallet but it has all the shadows you want. I think huge pallets are a hassle and take up space, thus I love the small pallets because they are cheaper and you can buy various ones and have different shades. I always thought the Two Faced Better than Sex Mascara was overhyped until I tried it. It really makes your lashes stand out, 10/10 recommend. Also, I don' like wearing banded lashes because I think they look super fake, but I love buying the Kiss individual lashes. They are so easy to apply and they look less fake than a full band. Really would recommend for beginners or someone who wants the lash extension look.

Lips:

The Vaseline Rosey Lips is amazing makes your lips look nice and plump while moisturizing them. Also, the new L'oreal lipsticks which just came out are amazing as well. They feel like a balm but have a lot of pigment.( they are super cheap at Bed Bath and Beyond because you can use their coupons too) I would recommend watching Tati's video about the entire collection and the various shades.

Perfume:

I love heavier scents which are more musky. Tom Ford is amazing and my everyday scent is the Noir perfume by them. It lasts all day and it smells super sexy as well. When I wear it I feel like a boss ass bitch / russian vixen spy... HAHA

Makeup Favorites for a Tropical Vacation

Traveling to a hot humid climate really makes you think about which products to bring. I have always been a fan of wearing minimal makeup on vacation just because I want my skin to breath and take in the nice ocean breeze.

Face Favorites

One product/trick I wanted to point out is using old contact cases to store face creams and foundation while traveling so you don't need to check a bag and carry around a lot of products.

Eye Favorites

My favorite type of look on a tropical vacation is a bronze look! I have always loved Tarte eyeshadows for how blendable they are! I have also found a very shimmery pigmented its called Amber Rush by L'oreal. Also when you don't feel like wearing too much makeup, doing your brows really pulls together your look. My favorite has been the pencil by MAC in taupe since its not too warm.

Accessory Favorites

I love sunglasses I think they can really make you look put together if you aren't wearing makeup! While I have my fair share of expensive glasses I really don't like taking them to the beach where they can get scratched by the sand! I have been loving the forever 21 glasses they are super cheap and you can manage to find really nice stylish ones that don't look super cheap. For lips, I enjoy having a stain so I am not worried about it rubbing off.
